我们诚挚地邀请您参加第8届亚太肝病年会专题研讨会，本次会议的主题是“转化医学：病毒性肝炎的临床免疫学和免疫治疗”，会议将于2011年10月7-9日在北京国家会议中心举行。

肝脏疾病的进展，包括慢性病毒性肝炎、肝硬化、肝衰竭和肝癌，主要由两个因素决定：病毒学和免疫学因素，特别是免疫学因素很大程度上决定了疾病进展与否，然而，在临床免疫学方面还面临许多挑战和悬而未决的难题，使之成为胃肠病学和肝脏病学的热点之一。

针对肝病免疫学方面的难题，本次会议邀请了国际上50余位顶级的肝脏免疫学和免疫治疗专家，将介绍近年来本领域临床及基础免疫学研究领域中的前沿进展、研究成果和最新技术。

北京作为中国的首都，是中国的政治、文化、经济中心，也是一座著名的历史文化名城。我们真诚期盼和热忱欢迎您到北京，参加此次专题研讨会。

Welcome Address

Dear colleagues,

We are cordially inviting you to the 8^th APASL Single Topic Conference with the theme “Translational Medicine: Clinical Immunology and Immunotherapy for Viral Hepatitis”, which will be held from 7-9 October 2011 in Beijing. This is also the 2^nd APASL STC on HBV.

Liver diseases progression including Chronic Hepatitis B, Liver Cirrhosis, Liver Failure and HCC, this progression is driven by two major factors: virological and immunological factors. However, there are many challenges and unanswered questions in clinical immunology of liver diseases which is becoming one of the hot topics in gastroenterology and hepatology. This conference will invite the prestigious experts of liver immunology and immunotherapy to give us comprehensive and cutting-edge presentations, not only in basic research but also the clinical studies in viral hepatitis B and related liver diseases. In addition, the scientific program also includes the application of vaccines, diagnosis and therapies. Therefore, we hope to capture the updated research findings and translate the scientific evidence into better patient management of liver diseases.
